What is your exit strategy?

What is your exit strategy? When you are part of somebody else’s dreams? When you are coiled in their aspirations? When you are what they pin their future on? When they are dependant on you to fulfil them even when it is at the cost of themselves and or yourself? How to do get out?

When you become an integral part of someone else’s identity, where without you they feel incomplete? When the cords of love and ease of comfort tighten? How do stay true to your bigger dream and purpose?

What will your exit strategy be from that job, or that relationship that no longer matches your calling? How do you extract yourself from the skyscraper of dreams that have been stacked up upon you, so that you are no longer purpose built for you, and now all that you are is a vehicle for someone else’s aspirations?

When you are part of someone dreams, they will fight tirelessly to keep you at any cost because without you that dream is shattered and they have to start again, dream again and build again. So how do choose your dreams, yours aspiration and your hopes? How do you choose you? Or do you?
